Man on mower struck by car

A Cass County man was injured after the lawnmower he was riding was struck by a car.
Sheriff Richard Behnke said deputies responded at 5:41 p.m. Saturday to the 19000 block of South Metcalf Court.
Forty-four-year-old Joseph Barnett was crossing a driveway on his mower when 61-year-old Darlene Pratt of Elkhart was driving to the road in the same driveway.
Neither party saw the other and collided.
Barnett was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries was not indicated in a department media release.
