Traffic stop leads to arrest

Three Rivers police last week arrested a woman on felony drug charges following a traffic stop on South Hooker Avenue.
According to a department media release, the woman’s vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation in the early morning hours Friday near Buck Street after it was observed driving through neighborhoods with no clear direction or purpose, authorities said.
The officer requested the presence of department K9 Django. A walk around the exterior of the vehicle resulted in the dog reacting in a manner consistent with the presence of drugs.
Officers searched the vehicle and discovered methamphetamine, marijuana, illegal prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to authorities.
The 30-year-old woman, whose community of residence was not indicated in the department release, was taken to the county jail.
