Two die in rural Colon crash

Following an incident in Branch County Sunday afternoon, a 38 year old male from Colon was traveling at a high rate of speed in the 33000 block of Wattles Road, when he lost control of his vehicle and ran off the road and struck a 53 year old female who was mowing her lawn. After striking the female, the vehicle rolled several times before striking a tree. Both subjects were pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
