Six area lakes will be the focus of the 2017 “Discover the Treasures of St. Joseph County” event.
Sponsored by the Three Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce, this year’s Treasures is a lake-and-home tour that will center on Clear, Corey, Long and Pleasant lakes in Fabius Township, Fishers Lake in Park Township, and Lake Templene in Nottawa and Sherman townships.
It takes place 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 29. Rain date is July 30.
Chamber director Christy Trammell said the concept starts with tours of the six lakes. Participants will be given a wristband, which allows them to join pontoon-boat tours of as many or few lakes as they wish.
Century 21’s Lyn Crose and Ashley Lawson, and Berkshire’s Justin Rarick have partnered with Trammell. Houses for sale on the six lakes will be open during the event for perspective buyers.
Wristbands are $10 each and allow a participant boat rides on all six lakes.
An event for the lake and home tour has been created on Facebook. Meanwhile, wristbands are for sale at the chamber’s office.
