Kenneth A. Hudson, 45, of Shipshewana, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Courtyard Healthcare Center in Goshen after a short battle with cancer. Ken was born in Three Rivers on May 22, 1971, a son of Roy and Judy (Marshall) Hudson. He graduated from Centreville High School in 1989. Ken was employed as a dispatcher for Starfleet and Viking for 20+ years. He enjoyed going to the fair, visiting the zoo, watching Notre Dame football, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are his parents Roy and Judy Hudson of Sturgis, daughter Sharon (Justin) Staufenbeil of Elkhart, sister Laura Schwartz of Centreville, “brother” Terry “Tiny” Nicely of Elkhart, nieces Elizabeth (Adrian) Nieves of Burr Oak, Victoria Schwartz of Centreville, and Rebecca Lafler of Centreville, nephew Wayne Schwartz of Centreville, grandchildren Emmy, Addi, and Jojo Staufenbeil of Elkhart, and significant other Angela Gardner of Shipeshewana. He was preceded in death by his infant son Keile Hudson.
Relatives and friends will be received Monday from 4-8 and Tuesday from 10-11 at Eley Funeral Home, Centreville, where religious services will follow at 11. Pastor Carl Henry of Northside Baptist Church, Elkhart, will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or American Cancer Society.
