Library agrees to design services

Members of the Three Rivers Public Library Board agreed this week to accept services for a design proposal at a potential location in the downtown district.
During a meeting Tuesday, board members agreed to a $17,500 contract with Mishawaka-based Arkos Design to further evaluate the option of relocating to the Southern Michigan Bank and Trust building.
Jeff Anglemeyer, president of Arkos Design, said sketches, drawings and all other appropriate studies related to the SMBT building will be included in the study his firm will conduct.
Located at 88 N. Main St., the former bank building will be subject to a design that will allow Arkos to establish an estimated cost for the potential new library site.
Plans created by Arkos are expected to be ready for inspection by August.
