Mary Anna Borntreger, age 82, of Centreville, died on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Heartland Nursing Home, Three Rivers. She was born October 19, 1934 in Arthur, IL a daughter of Jacob and Lizzie ( Yoder) Plank. On October 19, 1954 she married Joseph Borntreger in Arthur, IL. Mary Anna was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family. She also worked at Fairview Nursing Home and cleaned private houses. Mary Anna enjoyed playing cards, made pill packs for Haiti, quilting and watching her grandchildren play sports.
Surviving are her husband Joseph Borntreger, Centreville, children Sara (Wayne) Sigler, White Pigeon, Loretta (Ivan) Burkholder, Ionia, Ruth Gritter, Kalamazoo, Martha (Harold) Amstutz, Due West, SC, Glen (Kelly) Borntreger, Centreville, Lonnie Borntreger, Bakersfield, CA and Lucille (Scott) Haney, City League, TX, 20 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brothers Lonnie Plank, Ivan (Clara Mae) Plank, Norman (Emma Mae) Plank, Orie (Barbara) Plank, all of Arthur, IL, Jerry Plank, Westmorland, TN and a sister Lucy Stutzman, Sullivan, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Martha Kuhns and Vera Mae Jess.
Relatives and friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Calvary Chapel, Sturgis, where Religious Services will be held 9:30 am Saturday. Bishop Dana Stauffer will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Centreville. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family c/o Joseph Borntreger. Arrangements were entrusted to Eley Funeral Homes, Centreville.
