Mendon NHS donates to local boy

Mendon National Honor Society donated $2,000 toward medical expenses of 2-year- old Oliver Ray and his parents, Kyle and Lindsey Ray of Sturgis.
The donation was made before NHS members and the Ray family last week at Mendon High School.
Oliver was born with a rare condition called hyperinsulinemia. His parents, Kyle (2002) and Lindsey Maxwell (2006), are Mendon High School graduates and well known to longtime teacher and coach Lisa Vedmore, who is this year’s NHS advisor.
This year, there are 42 students in Mendon National Honor Society, 21 seniors and 21 juniors. Major support for NHS was provided by American Metal Fab, TH Plastics, Frankie’s By The Tracks and Lutz Concrete.
