Rouch Off-Road holds opening weekend

Rouch Off-Road, north of Sturgis in Sherman Township, has officially opened.
About 300 vehicles were driven to the 90-acre property during the park’s grand opening earlier this month to take on challenges created by co-owners Ben and Jamey Rouch.
The obstacles, created with excavation equipment, include a rock wall, water holes, sharp curves, steep hills and easier hills throughout the park.
Ben Rouch said free pullouts were offered during opening weekend, otherwise it’s a $50 fee for drivers whose vehicles can’t meet the challenge posed by the dirt course.
The brothers started in off-road adventures about 15 years ago with a trail they made at their family business, Rouch Outdoor in Three Rivers.
