Carol Lee Roe, age 82, of Centreville, died Sunday, June 11, 2017 at her home. She was born in Three Rivers on April 30, 1935 the daughter of Riley Dee and Bertha (Vanett) Dentler and was a lifetime resident of St. Joseph County. Carol was a homemaker who also worked at Nagel & Sons Glad Farm. She was married to John W. Roe in Parkville on June 2, 1972. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, canning, playing bingo, and travelling with her husband and family.
Carol is survived by six children, Richard (Becky) Mains of Sturgis, LuAnne (Bill) Crossgrove of Centreville, Paula (Larry) Nichols, Michael (Regina) Mains , Roger (Dodee) Mains, and Brenda (Tom) McWatters all of Three Rivers; five step-children, Donald (Caroline) Roe of North Carolina, Dianna (Henry) Teachnor, David (Diala) Roe, Dale Roe, and Dean (Treva) Roe all of Elwood, IL; 30 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; eight siblings, June (Roger) Hammond of Anna, OH, Larry (Fern) Dentler of Sherwood, Hazel (Bob) Crosby of Jones, Emily Little of Grand Rapids, Roy (Maryann) Hurt of Newark, OH, Doug (Patty) Dentler, Jane (Roy) Manwell, and Mitzie (Jim) Wheeler all of Three Rivers; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Lillian Dentler; her husband, John Roe; two sisters, Shirley Miller and Becky Beeman; two brothers, Riley Dentler, Jr. and Gerald Dentler; four grandsons, Chad Hunt, Dennis Mains, Randy Mains, and Aaron Scott.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev.
