Date named for DASAS fundraiser

Organizers behind the 2017 “Walk A Mile in Her Shoes” fundraiser have announced the sixth annual event will take place Aug. 12.
The community event, which raises funds for the Domestic and Sexual Abuse Services of St. Joseph County, will begin at 11 a.m. at Lafayette Park.
It will feature a hog roast, children’s games, inflatables, doggie lounge, a disc jockey, cake walk, martial arts activity for kids and a dog walk.
Kim Kramer, DASAS executive director, said the individual and the group with the most pledges collected will receive special recognition.
