Cass County sheriff’s officials are looking for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident earlier this week.
Sheriff Richard Behnke said deputies were called around noon Wednesday to a location on U.S. 12 west of M-217 in Porter Township.
Deputies found that a motorcycle driven by 19-year-old Colin Schieber of Elkhart had crashed into the rear of another vehicle.
Schieber was transported from the scene to Elkhart General Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash after falling off his motorcycle.
Schieber told authorities the other vehicle, a four-door Ford beige in color with a Michigan license plate, left the scene. It was driven by a female, Schieber told deputies.
