Local Rotarian receives award

Jackie Bowen, human resource manager at Kadant Johnson, was recently presented with a Paul Harris recognition by Three Rivers Rotary.
A Paul Harris Fellow is recognition for an outstanding commitment to the Rotary Club or to the community. In Bowen’s case, however, it is both.
Paul Harris recognition is the highest distinction that a club may bestow on a Rotarian and is reserved in exceptional cases for meritorious service.
Members of the Three Rivers Rotary Club recognize Bowen’s continual efforts and have made a contribution of $1,000 in her name to the Rotary Foundation.
Bowen has served on the board of directors of the Three Rivers Rotary Club since 2010, serving as president from 2013 through June of 2014. She is serving as Club Administration Committee Chair, and has served as the Chairman of the Educator of the Year Award for many years.
