An 18-year-old Elkhart man was not injured after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a house last week in Lockport Township.
Sheriff’s deputies said the driver was heading east on M-60 when his vehicle went off the road shortly after 1:30 a.m. Thursday in an area near Haines Road. He told deputies he swerved to prevent his vehicle from striking a deer.
Occupants inside the residence were not injured.
The driver was issued a moving violation and charges are being sought for possession of marijuana, according to a department press release.
