Sheriff releases name of boy who died in accident

Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke said the name of the 6-year-old boy who died last week after being partially run over by a skid loader was Holden High of Dowagiac.
High died Wednesday afternoon in Volinia Township, where he was helping with a landscape project. Investigators said High and two teenagers were riding in the bucket of the skid loader when it jerked forward, causing him to fall out of the bucket.
The operator of the skid loader, 55-year-old Timothy Perry of Three Rivers, was unaware High had fallen out of the bucket and continued driving forward.
Perry is a friend of the family and was helping with the landscaping project.
