Curtis Alan Babcock, age 54, formerly of Brownwood, Texas, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017, at the home of his very special friends, Richard, Roger, Misty and Ray Williams, after a short, but hard, fight with cancer.
He was born the son of the late Lloyd Jr. and Carolyn (Llewellyn) Babcock.
Curt grew up in Sturgis and started traveling as a young adult. He mostly loved living in the south, where it’s always warm. He enjoyed watching NASCAR.
He is survived by a fianceé, Morreta Watson of Texas; two sons, Curtis Babcock and Christopher Babcock, both of Sturgis; two brothers, Phil Llewellyn of Naples, Fla., and William Babcock of Three Rivers; two sisters, Pam (Leroy) Pugh of Burr Oak and Joy (Robert) Harris of Richards, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Curt was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Laird Babcock; and two nephews.
A graveside service and burial of cremains will be announced at a later date.
Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with his arrangements.
