Amy Roth, Three Rivers Department of Public Services director, said progress is being made on a significant infrastructure project in the southwest quadrant of the city.
Roth said all underground utility work has been completed, curbs poured and a base layer of asphalt installed on South Lincoln Avenue, between Broadway to Buck streets.
She said the only outstanding task for the area is complete restoration of topsoil and seeding before a final layer of paving is applied in the fall.
Regarding South Lincoln Avenue between Buck and Millard streets, Roth said preparation for underground utility work has included milled asphalt. Work on that portion of South Lincoln Avenue is expected to continue through October.
Started March 13, the $1.9 million task covers an area from Broadway to Millard streets.
