Alfred DeRuiter, 79

Alfred Jay DeRuiter passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 after a well fought battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born December 9, 1937 to John and Helena DeRuiter of Falmouth, Michigan who precede him in death. He is survived by wife Joyce Ann Abbott DeRuiter, daughter, Lori DeRuiter Bauer (David Bauer of Lewisville, Texas), Son David Alan DeRuiter (wife, Brandi Aronson DeRuiter of Panama City Beach, Florida); grandson, Pearson Silver David DeRuiter and step granddaughter Kira Layne Love, both in Florida. Three sisters, Karen and Harold Cnossen, Kathy and Paul Spoelma, Karla and Paul DeYoung; and one brother, Darrell and Marilyn DeRuiter all from Michigan.
Services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 1:00 pm with visitation starting at 11:00 am before the service at Mater Ralston Funeral Home in Marcellus.
In lieu of gifts and flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Marcellus Ambulance Service or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
