Robert Lawrence “Bob” LaBrash, age 79, of Three Rivers, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017 at Heartland Healthcare Center. He was born in Adrian, MI on Sep. 28, 1937 the son of Edlore and Lillian (Petsch) LaBrash. Bob was a former Mason and Demolay Dad Leader, and was a former Scout Leader. He retired to Three Rivers after managing Firestone and Goodyear tire stores throughout Michigan.
Bob is survived by 3 sons, Ralph LaBrash of Galesburg, Gregory LaBrash of Australia, and Alan Saundars of Traverse City; seven grandchildren; seven siblings, Carl LaBrash of Shelby Township, Loretta Galvani of Fairglade, TN, Bernadine Hess of Springfield, OH, Rita Portuesi of Cadillac, Louis LaBrash of Sacramento, CA, Carolyn Nelipovich of Clairemont, CA, and Ann Kling of Eldorado, KS.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joycelyn (Weyrick) LaBrash on Dec. 28, 2012; also by his parents; a son, Dale, three sisters, Racine Ali, Aileen Kirkdale, and Mary Raymond; and by two brothers, Paul LaBrash and John Miller.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel, 305 Rock River Ave., Three Rivers, and where there will be a Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 645 S. Douglas, Three Rivers with Rev. Antony Rajesh officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie River Cemetery in Centreville. Memorial donations may be directed to the St. Joseph County Commission on Aging, 103 S. Douglas Ave., Three Rivers, 49093.
