Catherine Abrams, 77

Catherine Ann Abrams, age 77, of Shipshewana, joined her heavenly family Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Miller Merry Manor Nursing Home in LaGrange, Indiana.
She was born on October 11, 1939 in Sioux City, Iowa, to Jeanette R. (Pierson) Cook, and Leland Pierson.
Mrs. Abrams graduated from Bishop Heelan Catholic High School in Sioux City, Iowa with the c1ass of 1957.
On August 2, 1958 she married Paul Douglas Abrams.
She loved working at the grocery store over the years, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Abrams; mother Jeanette (Pierson) Cook; father Leland Pierson; step father Ervin Cook; and sister Mary Jane Morgan.
She is survived by two daughters: Christine (Douglas) Pagels of Sturgis, Teresa Abrams of Three Rivers; one son, Steven (Kimberly) Abrams of White Pigeon; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four great grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Hungerford of Omaha, NE, Carol Vogel of WA, and a brother James Pierson of Omaha, NE.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. Private graveside services and burial of the ashes will take place at Sturgis Memorial Garden in Sturgis. Mr. Larry Wallman will officiate.
