DASAS event raises money for local services

Supporters of Domestic And Sexual Abuse Services participated in the sixth annual “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” fundraiser Saturday in Three Rivers’ Lafayette Park.
Sixty participants remembered those whose lives were lost to domestic violence and honored their families.
Event organizers said more than $13,000 was raised, which will help support local services, including prevention education programs.
Kim Kramer, DASAS executive director, said most of what the agency does is serious in nature but “Walk A Mile” is lighthearted and fun.
Jamey Smith was recognized as the top individual fundraiser with $580 plus a $1,000 corporate sponsorship. CMS/Clark Logic was the top group fundraiser, with $225.
