ISD adopts strategic goals

The St. Joseph County Intermediate School District this week adopted Strategic Goals for 2017-18. The goals are:
*Improve student outcomes related to individualized goals.
*Improve communication with internal and external stakeholders to support learning.
*Positively impact our district’s climate, culture and safety through strong relationships and support at all levels, and to develop a plan to monitor the implementation and impact of each strategy as it relates to this goal.
Superinendent Teresa Belote said the goals were developed as part of the board’s planning session and was a result of a lot of information, with input from various stakeholders in and around the ISD.
Also Monday, the board approved substitute-pay rates for the Pathfinder’s 2017-18 school year. Teacher pay is $100 for full day and $50 for a half day; $66 full day and $33 half day for substitute assistant teachers; and $90 full day and $45 half day substitute office assistants. Rates were also set for long-term subs, and substitute custodial/maintenance, kitchen assistants, bus drivers and bus aides.
