Known as a man who lived his faith, Robert P. Tissot, Sr. went home to be with His Lord in the early hours of Friday, August 04, 2017, surrounded by loving family. His 92 years were marked by serving others. From his time as a Navy WWII veteran, to providing for his family as a toolmaker with General Motors, to Chaplain of Forgotten Man Ministries, to impacting lives at Bair Lake Bible Camp as an indispensable volunteer, he lived his faith daily inspiring others to do the same. At his passing his family and friends understand the joy he felt when he said, “I am soooo blessed.”
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mary, three children, Judy Schultz (George), Bob Jr. (Nanci), James (Jorge), grandchildren, Travis Schultz (Erinn), Adam Schultz (Elizabeth), Abby Banfield (Jonathan), Emily Tissot, Anna DeForge (Daniel), and Robbie Tissot (Sarah) and 8 great grandchildren.
