Three Rivers’ varsity football team beat Plainwell for the first time in seven years Thursday.
The Wildcats trailed early, but scored all its points in the second half as they picked up the 35-15 win.
Quarterback Jalen Heivilin threw for 288 yards and two scores. He also held on for three quarterback keepers that found the end zone, as well.
The Wildcats piled up 398 yards of total offense in the game compared to only 129 for Plainwell.
Three Rivers will travel to Dowagiac next week for a matchup against the 0-1 Chieftains, who lost to Vicksburg Thursday, 38-27. Next week’s game will be played Thursday.
