The Three Rivers Department of Public Services will begin its twice-a-year hydrant flushing at 11 p.m. Sept. 4.
DPS director Amy Roth said flushing will continue through Sept. 29. Over the course of the four-week period, weekly flushing will occur 11 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays.
Due to a number of variables, Roth said the department is not able to determine the exact date work crews will be in each district, but the order of flushing by city district is First, Fourth, Second and Third.
Roth advised residents that some rusty water may be experienced during the flush period. Lingering problems should be reported to the DPS staff at, 273-1845.
