An Indiana woman died last week after she was struck by a vehicle in Cass County’s Milton Township.
State police said 78-year-old Carol Martin of South Bend was attempting to cross U.S.12 near Bell Road around 9:40 a.m. Friday. She was struck by a westbound car. Details about its driver were not available, but the driver stayed on scene while waiting for police to arrive.
Investigators said Martin was leaving a garage sale and crossing the road to return to her parked car. She passed away at South Bend Memorial Hospital.
