Committee formed to interview county administrator applicants

A committee has been formed to interview prospective candidates for the position of county administrator.

County commission chairman Allen Balog at the end of Tuesday’s meeting said the committee is comprised of Commissioner Kathy Pangle, District Court judge Rob Pattison, Treasurer Judie Ratering and citizen-at-large Pattie Bender.

Balog called the group an interview panel and they will be in charge of interviewing candidates interested in replacing Pat Yoder, who has announced his plan to retire at the end of the year.

Balog said the job was posted beginning Tuesday morning on the county’s website as well as through the Michigan Association of Counties website. It is expected to remain posted for two weeks.

As of Wednesday night, there have been no applicants for the post, according to Yoder.
