John J. Bontrager, age 91 years, 8 months and 16 days, of Centreville, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017, at the Allen Yoder residence.
John was born Dec. 25, 1925, in Dodge City, Kan., a son of the late John M. and Elizabeth (Mullet) Bontrager.
John lived in Centreville most of his life and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He is survived by a brother, Henry J. (Beverly) Bontrager, of Sturgis; a sister, Fannie J. Yoder of Centreville; two sisters-in-law, Lydia Bontrager of Colon and Marie Bontrager of Colon; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine brothers, Benedict, Levi, Manasses, William, Alvin, Ezra, Enos, Neal and Martin; a sister, Miriam; and eight-in-laws.
The family will receive relatives and friends all day Tuesday and Wednesday at the Allen Yoder residence, 26798 Wasepi Road, Centreville. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at the Allen Yoder residence, with home ministers officiating. Burial will follow at Old Order Amish Cemetery in Centreville.
The family was assisted by Schipper Funeral Home in Colon.
