Man arrested on multiple charges

A 24-year-old Battle Creek man wanted on felony warrants was arrested by Three Rivers Police last week.

Officers were called in the early-morning hours Saturday after a complaint about a loud gathering outside Riverside Townhouses. Officers responded and noticed a number of people enter a particular apartment. While officers discussed the situation with the primary occupant, police recognized a man who was wanted by authorities.

As officers approached the man, he fled the scene on foot, assaulting an officer in the process. It took additional officers to subdue the man and place him under arrest, according to authorities.

Two officers sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident. The suspect was charged with domestic violence, three counts of resisting police, and two counts of resisting police causing injury.
