Traffic stop leads to drug arrests

Two Indiana residents were arrested on drug-related charges last week following a traffic stop in Constantine Township.

State police said troopers stopped a vehicle at 2:35 p.m. Saturday on North River Road after it was seen speeding near Winding River Road.

Troopers detected an odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded what investigators called a large quantity of marijuana and a semi-automatic handgun.

Charges are pending against a 32-year-old North Manchester resident and a 37-year-old passenger from Warsaw.
