Chuck Miller, 80

Charles (Chuck) A. Miller, age 80, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, from pulmonary fibrosis. He was born November 21,1936, at Constantine Hospital, the son of Harold and Jennie Mae (Stenbach) Miller. He will be remembered for his generosity of spirit and unconditional acceptance of family, friends, and co-workers.
Chuck was passionate about his career choice as a Real Estate broker. He owned ERA C-CAM Real Estate with his wife Cozette; when they sold the business, they became Reames and Miller Real Estate for many years. He later worked for ReMax First Choice and, most recently, Berkshire Hathaway.
As a young adult, Chuck volunteered on the Porter Township Fire Department and the Cass County Shrine Club. He was a life member and Past Master of Vandalia 290 F&AM in Union. He was a member of the Saladin Shrine Temple in Grand Rapids, a Past President of Elkhart County Shrine Club, and a Charter Member of the Cass County Shrine Club. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and an occasional trip to the casino with his wife Cozette. He was a loyal Notre Dame fan and looked forward to pinochle game nights with his White Pigeon buddies.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters: Martha Clear, Anna Miller, Mary Jane Almasi, Helen Liester, son Rory T. Miller and great-granddaughter Candace Rouch. He is survived by his loving wife Cozette; step-daughter Nikki Dallariva; son Randy (Caroline) of Union; and daughter Kim (Bryan) Hill of Mottville; as well as seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was especially loved by his grandson Rod (Cyla) and their son Zac.
Chuck’s wishes were to be cremated with no service. Arrangements were made by Avink Funeral Home, 129 South Grand, P.O. Box 417, Schoolcraft. Please visit their website to sign his guest book or leave a condolence: www.avinkcremation.com. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or the charity of your choice. However, Chuck would be most honored if you would put a smile on a child’s face.
