A committee formed to hire a new county administrator plans to meet again today and compare notes from interviews it conducted last week.
St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners Chairman Allen Balog said three finalists were interviewed Thursday afternoon but no recommendation was given. He said today’s meeting will give the six-person committee a chance to review their opinions and potentially make a recommendation at Tuesday’s board of commissioners meeting.
He declined to name the candidates, though it’s common knowledge that current human resources director/assistant administrator Teresa Doehring has applied for the post.
Current administrator Pat Yoder plans to retire at the end of the year. County administrator is the highest, non-elected position in the county.
