Construction of the St. Joseph County Road Commission’s new salt-storage facility at its Centreville headquarters has been completed.
Managing director Chris Minger said the 60-by-140-foot barn is 40 feet longer than the previous building. Minger said the added size allows the road commission to bring raw salt that was sitting in storage onto its own property.
In an unrelated matter, Minger said the sale of the road commission’s Colon garage property is nearly complete.
