Sarah Cross, 83

Sarah Ellen Cross, age 83, of Mendon, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 at her home. She was born in Wayne, Ohio on Sep. 23, 1934 the daughter of John and Susie (Van Voorhis) Wolfe and has resided near Mendon since the age of five. She graduated from Mendon High School with the class of 1952. Sarah worked briefly at G-W Pizza and Research Molding in Mendon. For several years she was a dispatcher for General Telephone and Electronics, and most recently worked at Tractor Sales in Three Rivers.

Sarah enjoyed gardening and canning. She was a prolific crafter, especially enjoyed quilting, tatting, and crocheting.

Sarah is survived by three children, Jeff (Cindy) Cross of Lorida, FL, Janine Cross of Christmas, FL, and Willian (Nancy) Cross of Mendon; twelve grandchildren, Loretta Bupp, Francis Shaw, Sara Schreiber, Rebecca Phipp, Melissa McKay, Keith Cross, Scott Bainbridge, Paul Crabtree, Justin DeLong, Brad Cross, Mike Cross, and Zach Cross; forty-seven great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Joanne Shutes of Three Rivers; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur; daughter, Judy Cross; brother, Dale Wolfe; and sister, Martha Myers.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been conducted. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Memorials services will be 4:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev. Bryan Balasa, Pastor of Crossroads Missionary Church officiating.
