Sidney Wood, 83

Sidney Francis Wood, 83, of Brookville, Ind. and formerly of Three Rivers, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 at the Brookville Healthcare Center in Brookville, Ind.
Born July 15, 1934 in Three Rivers, he was the son of the late Virgil and Margaret (Bowen) Wood. He was a retired carpenter, and had also been employed for several years at the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department. In his leisure time he was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman; enjoyed bowling and metal detecting; and had also held a private Pilots License. He was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Survivors include three sons, Daniel (Cheryl) Wood of Newago, David Wood of White Pigeon and Dale (Lonnette) Wood of Three Rivers; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Delmar Wood.
