Area players named to All State team

A pair of Three Rivers High School football players was named honorable mention to the Associated Press All-State team.

Junior quarterback Jalen Heivlin and senior lineman Tyler Moore were recognized in a vote amongst a state media panel for Division 3 and 4.

Meanwhile, Mendon High School was well represented in the Division 7-8 All-State team.

Senior tailback Wyatt Cool was named to the all-state first team. He finished the 2017 season with a school-record 33 touchdowns.

Cool’s teammates, linebacker Mikki Feister and defensive back Hunter Lovell made the Division7-8 honorable mention list.

White Pigeon also placed three players on the Division 7-8 All-State honorable mention squad. They are defensive back Sebastian Castro, running back Nate Hagen and Tony Solis, defensive tackle.
