Carroll R. Fisher, age 72, of rural Centreville, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 at his home following a long illness. He was born in Bono, Arkansas on Oct. 18, 1945 the son of Joe Bob and Ellen (Webb) Fisher. He was married to Sharon Carter on July 31, 1966 in Martinsville, Indiana and they have resided in Michigan since 1969. Carroll worked at Research Molding in Mendon, and retired from American Axle in Three Rivers. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, and working on vintage cars.
Carroll is survived by his wife, Sharon Fisher of Centreville; two daughters, Trina (Scott) Luegge of Three Rivers, and Theresa (Stacy Eling) Fisher of Mendon a son, Rex Fisher of Sturgis; five grandchildren, John Hoskins and Amber (Sidney Ellis) Hoskins, Meagan (Robert) Bailey, Mackenzie (Tyler) Kreger, and Montanna Eling; four great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Rylie, Brooklyn, and Madelyn Ellis; four siblings, Juanita Shaffner of Paw Paw, Shelby (Nita) Fisher if Indianapolis, Bobby Fisher of Lubbock, Texas, and Pete Fisher of Lake City, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Billy and Jim; and a sister, Norma Jean.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow services with a private interment at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to a charity of one’s choice.
