Diane Elizabeth Heckler, age 66, of Sturgis, passed away early Wednesday morning, Nov. 22, 2017, at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers.
She was born Aug. 29, 1951, in Sellersville, Pa., a daughter of the late Robert and Arlene (Hartman) Heckler.
Diane resided in Sturgis since 1986, coming from Pennsylvania.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed online gaming, watching wrestling and football, going to yard and garage sales and her Elvis, Beatles and John F. Kennedy collections. Diane had hobbies and interests, but what she truly loved was time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters, Julie Tuka of Sturgis, Karen Strus of Salt lake City and Lisa (Shaun) Edenfield of Souderton, Pa.; a son, Robert John Spear of Limerick, Pa.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and expecting number 8; her boyfriend, George Clark of Sturgis; a sister, Pat Chappell of Indiana; a brother, Thom Heckler of Pennsylvania; her cat, Tigger; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson; and a brother, Steven Heckler.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends to honor and celebrate the life of Diane E. Heckler will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at American Legion Post #73, 500 W. Chicago Road, Sturgis.
The Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, is entrusted with arrangements.
