Keith C. Carr, 86, of White Pigeon, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis, following an extended illness.
He was born March 3, 1931, in Elkhart, a son of Claude and Esther (Dickman) Carr.
He was a resident of White Pigeon since 1954 and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a past member of the United Methodist Church, past commander of White Pigeon Blue-Burdick Post 4896 VFW, Swartz-VanFleet Post #138 American Legion, Old Car Club and Coin Club. He retired from the White Pigeon paper mill.
On Oct. 6, 1954, he married Mary T. Colpetsir in White Pigeon. She survives, along with a daughter, Sherry Williams of Constantine; a son, Leland (Shari) Carr of Nottawa; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step- great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Carr of Sturgis; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Cecil, Harold, Gram, Clifford, LeRoy, Lyle and Sheryl; a half-sister, Virginia; and a half-brother, LeRoy Ott.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at the funeral home, with Mr. Daniel Carr officiating. Interment will be in White Pigeon Township Cemetery.
Military rites will be by Three Rivers American Legion Post #170.
Donations may be directed to an American Legion post of one’s choice.
