Police investigate two break ins

Investigators from Michigan State Police are looking into a breaking-and-entering incident in Lockport Township.

Troopers were called at 6 a.m. Tuesday to the 57000 block of Haines Road, where unauthorized entrance into a residence took place sometime between Oct. 20 and Oct. 23.

The suspects broke into the residence and took keys to a 1989 Ford Crown Victoria, tan in color. The vehicle was then taken from the driveway of the residence.

In another case, troopers are investigating a break in that occurred between 9 p.m. Oct. 23 and 9 a.m. Oct. 24 in the 11000 block of Treimanis Way in Fabius Township.

Articles of clothing, electronics and a monitor/recording unit for surveillance cameras were among the items taken.
