Beverly White, 79

Beverly Jean White, age 79, of White Pigeon, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, at Safe Haven in Three Rivers, following an extended illness.
She was born March 14, 1938, in Elkhart, Ind., a daughter of Charles and Irene (Whittier) Meyer.
She lived all her life in the White Pigeon area and was a graduate of White Pigeon High School in 1956. She was employed at Kirsch Company in Sturgis, and later was a bus driver for White Pigeon Community Schools. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, traveling, camping, playing piano and, most of all, taking care of her family. She attended the United Methodist Church in White Pigeon, where she was the church treasurer and played piano for the Sunday school class. She later attended Church of the Nazarene in Sturgis.
On Sept. 12, 1958, she married Thomas White in White Pigeon. He survives, along with two daughters, Deb (Tim) Morey of Constantine and Sue (Chuck) Barnes of Bellevue; grandchildren Mike and Matt Morey, Andy and Breanna Barnes; a brother, Richard Meyer; nieces Jo Ann Rumler and Julie Fraser; and a brother and sister-in-law, John and Bev White.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Steven White.
Visitation will be from  5-8 p.m. Friday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at the funeral home, with Pastor John Shoup of Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment will follow in White Pigeon Township Cemetery.
