Louis John Grimm, Jr., age 70, of Mendon, went to his Heavenly Home on Christmas eve, Dec, 24, 2017. He was born in Kalamazoo on Oct. 2, 1947 the son of Louis Sr. and Angie (Boltjes) Grimm. Louis grew up in Vicksburg, and served in the U.S. Army from 1964-68. He worked in construction for many years, installing siding on homes throughout southwest Michigan. He loved his home, enjoyed playing golf, taking care of Addy and Ryan, and his dogs. Louis was loving and kind-hearted, and will be deeply missed and forever loved by all his family.
Louis is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Carol Chamberlain; 2 sons, Jimmy (Lisa) Grimm and Andrew (Grace) Grimm; daughters, Marion (Kenny Griffin) Grimm and Sandy (Lee Divelbiss)) Chamberlain; 3 grandchildren, Allyssa, Addilyn, and Ryan; 2 brothers, Richard (Linda) Grimm and Steven (Kelly) Grimm; and a sister, Barbara (Allan) Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, James Jay “Jimmy” Grimm.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been conducted. Memorials services will be held at a later date. It is suggested that memorial be directed to the St. Joseph County Animal Shelter, 652 E.
