TR school board issues superintendent evaluation

Three Rivers Community Schools Board of Education has given Superintendent Jean Logan an evaluation that equates to a rating of “minimally effective.”

District officials said the evaluation was conducted Nov. 29 during a closed session involving board members and the 52-year-old Logan. The result was a score of 68 percent.

Logan, who is in her fourth year as superintendent of the 2,700-student district, was recognized for positive marks in the categories of instructional leadership, governance and board relations.

She was encouraged to work on keeping open communication with the board of education.

Logan’s shortcomings, according to the evaluation, center on business and finance, and community relations.

Logan’s current salary is $124,000 a year.
