Tyler Wirtz, 17

Tyler Tazmeine Wirtz, age 17, of Bronson, passed away tragically Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, due to an automobile accident in Lawton.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at Pleasant Hill Missionary Church in Bronson, with Pastor Archie Lhamon of Unity Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Adams Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
Tyler was born Nov. 17, 2000, in Sturgis, to Matthew and Sarah (Tyler) Wirtz. He was a senior at Bronson High School and was about to be dual-enrolled at Jackson College in its automotive program. He was a hardworking young man who was employed at Auto-Wares Warehouse in Coldwater.
Tyler was a very active young man. He was on the varsity bowling team at BHS. Tyler was very fond of working on cars and was a proclaimed “Ford Guy.” He liked video-gaming, hunting, fishing and being at the lake. Reading was another activity that piqued his interest. His true passion in life was being around his family. Tyler was a loving, compassionate and caring young man. He will be remembered for his intelligence, willingness to help anyone and his sense of humor. Tyler will be missed by many.
Tyler is survived by his parents, Matthew Wirtz of Bronson and Sarah Howard of Bronson; his step-siblings, twins Tyler and Taylor, and Alyssa Howard, all of Union City; his grandparents, Lloyd (Mary) Tyler of Burr Oak and Margaret Bellaire of Sturgis; his aunts and uncles, Damien and Cherie Adkins, Matt and Kathy Tyler, Robin and Jess Michelsen, Rita and Olin Wilcox, Rosina Healy and Rodney Healy; his godparents, Scott and Patty Smith; and several great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Derek Howard.
