Home-school group reports good progress

Three Rivers Community School’s recent affiliation with Three Rivers Partnership, a home-school group, is going well according to TRP director Mary Wilkinson.

Three Rivers Partnership held open houses in May and August and classes began last fall.

It is a collaboration between parents, students, the local school district and the community, Wilkinson said.

She explained that students enroll part-time with Three Rivers Community Schools and are able to access some of their tax dollars to take electives for free. Students can even enroll in Career and Technical Education classes, dual enrollment and join in onĀ field trips.

Requirements for TRP are posted on the Three Rivers Community School website. The program is available to any student in the Three Rivers Community School District, home-school students, and private school students K-12 whose residence is in Michigan.
