Police search for car involved in hit and run

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred last weekend in Flowerfield Township.

According to a department media release, deputies were called shortly before 5:30 p.m. Saturday to Flatbush Road, where a northbound passenger car crossed the center line and struck a southbound car just south of Floating Bridge Road.

The northbound car continued on Flatbush Road without stopping, deputies said.

The fleeing car is black and might be an early 2000s Nissan Altima with a tinted back window. Investigators said it will likely have front-end damage in the area of its driver’s side. The driver of the vehicle was a female estimated to be about 20 years of age.

The car that was struck was driven by a 16-year-old Three Rivers girl.
