Three Rivers school board prepares for possible superintendent resignation

Three Rivers Community Schools Board of Education members are preparing for the possible resignation of superintendent Jean Logan.

The board staged a special meeting Tuesday to discuss the situation and the process of finding an interim superintendent.

Logan, who is in her fifth year as Three Rivers superintendent, has not indicated where she is seeking employment. Board members, however, are planning to meet again Wednesday next week, the day after Logan is to get confirmation of her employment at another district, school officials said.

Board president Erin Nowak said it is critical the district is able to stay on top of its day-to-day operations in Logan’s potential absence, underscoring the need to have a plan for an interim in place as quickly as possible.

If Logan does step down, the district will ultimately have to consider its long-term need for a full-time superintendent, board members said.
