Bob Adams, 68

John Robert (Bob) Adams, age 68, of Baldwin, and formerly of Colon, passed away Feb. 14, 2018, at his home in Baldwin, after several months of failing health.
Bob was born May 5,1949, in Sturgis, a son of the late Robert B. and Cora A. (Starr) Adams.
He lived most of his life in Colon, attending Colon schools, and later had worked for several area businesses and had his own lawn care business. He also was a foster parent and had adopted several children.
On Nov. 24, 1972, he married Carolyn Bauder in Colon.
Bob enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Adams, of Baldwin; seven children, Brooke, Jessica, Ambrosia, Rachael, Sarah, Shaunta and Linda; several grandchildren; a brother, Bruce (Ted) Adams and wife, Connie, of Colon; two sisters, Faye Byrns and husband, John, of Kentucky, and Doris Gest of Sturgis; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Adams.
The family will receive relatives and friends from noon-2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at Schipper Funeral Home in Colon. Funeral services celebrating the life of Bob Adams will take place at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. David J. Farrell officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
If desired, memorials may be made in memory of Bob to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
