Yvonne Church, 79

Yvonne Ann “Bonnie” Church, age 79, of Sturgis, passed away late Sunday evening, Feb. 25, 2018, at her home.
She was born Jan. 22, 1939, in Sturgis, a daughter of the late James and Marjorie (Echlin) Hansen.
Yvonne was a lifelong Sturgis resident and a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class or 1958.
On Jan. 14, 1984, she married Donald Church in Sturgis.
Yvonne retired from Ross Laboratories in Sturgis following 30 years of dedicated employment in the powder-packing department.
She enjoyed needlepoint, collecting cat figurines and had a passion for reading.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; a sister, Mildred (Robert) Johnson of Colon; three nephews, Christopher (Michelle) Johnson of Florida, Scott (Lisa) Johnson of Three Rivers and Michael (Roxy) Johnson of Hastings; and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two infant brothers.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. There are no services planned.
Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, is entrusted with arrangements.
