Gayle Lynn Moyer, age 64, of Sturgis, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 19, 2018, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
Gayle was born Aug. 3, 1953, in Vicksburg, a daughter of the late Dale M. and Lola (Ware) Knight.
Gayle grew up in Colon, graduating from Colon High School. She had lived most of her life in and around the St. Joseph County area. Gayle had worked at several ares businesses and was presently employed at Sturgis Molded Products in Sturgis.
She married Ivan Moyer Jr., which later ended in divorce.
She loved time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Gayle is survived by a son, Justin Moyer and friend Jamie Hugger, both of Sturgis; two grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two sisters, Katha (Duane) Beardsley of Colon and Susan (Rex) Flowers of Colon; two brothers, Darrel (Myra) Knight of Fremont, Ind., and Michael (Angela) Bissett of Colon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her ex-husband, Ivan Moyer Jr.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.

527 W. South St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007-4604.
The family was assisted by Schipper Funeral Home in Colon.
